A Partnership Between Healthcare and Healthy Living
At the Decatur Family YMCA, we believe that wellness extends beyond the walls of a doctor’s office. That’s why we’ve partnered with local healthcare providers to offer the Wellness Referral Program—a six-month opportunity for patients to take control of their health through affordable access to YMCA programs and services.
This referral-based program allows healthcare professionals to recommend the YMCA as a resource for patients who could benefit from increased physical activity, reduced stress, improved nutrition, and access to a supportive community.
How It Works
Patients referred by a physician, nurse, therapist, or other licensed healthcare provider can receive a discounted YMCA membership for six months at the special rate of $26.50 per month, with no joiner fee. This referral is available to qualifying individuals who may be managing chronic health conditions, recovering from injury, or working toward long-term wellness goals.

Referral Limits
Participants can take advantage of the full Wellness Referral Program twice (two separate six-month periods) at the discounted rate. After that, referred individuals are eligible for an ongoing 10% discount on our standard adult membership.
This program is a valuable bridge between clinical care and community wellness. It’s designed to help individuals take small, sustainable steps toward a healthier, more active lifestyle.
